Agogics

<!ELEMENT agogics (#PCDATA)>
<!ATTLIST agogics
   bracketed (no | yes) #IMPLIED
   %spine_ref;>

Element agogics is provided to express textual tempo and mood indications such as "Allegro", "Moderato", etc. The element always has to be linked to a spine event.

Attributes

  • event_ref, a mandatory attribute to identify the event which agogics should be linked to. Two alternatives are possible: a dedicated event can be inserted in spine, or agogic indication can be linked to a simultaneous event of another type (for instance, usually such text indications are aligned to time signatures, so they can share the same spine event).
  • bracketed, an optional attribute which requires the use of brackets when its value is "yes"
