Alphabetic list of elements (v1.0)

Element layout_staff represents the most elementary part of the layout, namely a single staff.

Attributes

• id, an optional attribute aimed at the identification of the staff.
• staff_ref, a mandatory attribute to link this graphical representation of the staff to the logic one provided within los sub-layer.
• vertical_offset, a mandatory attribute which defines the vertical space between this staff and the preceding one (or the system margin, if this is the first staff in the system). The measurement unit is the one defined in the attribute measurement_unit of layout element.
• height, a mandatory attribute to define the height of the staff, considering the space that divides the upper from the lower line (ledger lines should not be included). The measurement unit is the one defined in the attribute measurement_unit of layout element.
• show_key_signature, an attribute to define if key signature must be shown (or not shown) against default settings of music theory.
• show_clef, an attribute to define if clef must be shown (or not shown) against default settings of music theory.
• show_time_signature, an attribute to define if time signature must be shown (or not shown) against default settings of music theory.
• ossia, an attribute to show the staff as an ossia staff.
