Element mordent is used to encode mordents. Such ornament consists of a rapid single alternation between an indicated note, the note above (called the upper mordent, inverted mordent, or pralltriller) or below (called the lower mordent or mordent) the indicated note, and the indicated note again.
Attributes
- id, an optional attribute an optional attribute that provides a unique identification for the symbol.
- event_ref, a mandatory attribute that identifies the spine event of the music symbol to which the ornament is applied.
- type, an attribute that defines if the mordent is upper or lower.
- length, an attribute that defines if the mordent is normal or double.
- accidental, an attribute to chromatically modify the added note by an accidental (graphically represented by a small symbol over the mordent).
- style, an attribute that specifies the shape to use, according to the figure below.
