Segmentation and segment

A segmentation consists up of one or more segment elements.

Attributes

• id, which provides a unique identifier within an IEEE 1599 file.
• description, a textual description of the analysis ("null" by default).
• method, which describes which method has been used to generate the segmentation ("null" by default).

A segment consists of a set of events in the piece of music, and is identified by a unique id in the IEEE 1599 document. It contains zero or more feature_objects (see below), so one can operate in many ways on the same segment of an analysis.
