Alphabetic list of elements (v1.0)
Syllable |
<!ELEMENT syllable (#PCDATA)> |
Element syllable contains the text to be associated to a music symbol.
Attributes
- start_event_ref, a mandatory attribute that defines the (first) spine event corresponding to the music event where the syllable occurs.
- end_event_ref, an optional attribute that defines the last spine event to which the syllable should be associated, in the case of multi-note syllable. It is the logical counterpart of extension lines used in scores.
- hyphen, an attribute that defines if the syllable has to be followed by a hyphenation sign. Music theory states that value "no" should be used if this is the unique or the last syllable of a word, and "yes" in other cases.
