Element lyrics is to represent the text to be sung in association with a piece of music. In general terms, lyric is the composition in verse that is sung in a melody. In popular music, lyrics are the words in songs. Text contents are subdivided in syllables, and each syllable is related to spine. This organization allows overcoming the problem of score segment repetitions with lyrics changes. Besides, multiple lyrics can be encoded and extracted easily, e.g. for the automatic creation of librettos.
Attributes
- part_ref, a mandatory attribute that relates to the id attribute of a part element in order to associate lyrics to a part.
- voice_ref, a mandatory attribute that relates to the id attribute of a voice element in order to associate lyrics to a voice.
